Welcome to this Blog

Welcome! Just like Raw Food, just like Twitter, there are many new creations sweeping the world. I am one of them. So is this blog. So - I’m wagering - are you. As the world changes, we discover ourselves more deeply and a new, more personalized spirituality emerges. The new spirituality may or may not involve a church, a mosque, a synagogue, or even a yoga studio. What it does do is ignite the creative spark within. It inspires us to move in large and small ways into new territory. This territory is more loving, authentic, expansive, and innovative. This blog is devoted to an exploration and celebration of this new spirituality, its promise and the rejuvenation it brings.

The Truth About Messages From Angels

Let me start by saying that, like everything else on this website, the stories of Messages from Angels are true.

Let me also say that for years, before the spiritual awakening, I went around with a kind of intellectual certainty about who I was.  I was an atheist, a lawyer, a mother, a person of color, an activist, an artist and etc.  I felt that I knew the difference between truth and not-truth, good and not-good, love and hate.  This certainty of identity and perception encapsulated me.

Though at first I did not notice it, within this capsule, I felt very small.  I felt small not only because humans do not belong in capsules but because I could sense the presence of something more, of light, outside.  Though at first this light did not illuminate my inner-world or show itself in a way that would help me to recognize it for what it was, it eventually penetrated my capsule, allowing me to see in ways I could not before.

When I used my  new senses, I was astounded at what I found! I saw Angels of more than one variety and  spiritual beings as diverse as the human race.  I heard the voice of God and of flowers.  I witnessed configurations of time, chakras, auras and meridians, karmic entanglements, alternate realities and new potentials for health and happiness!

(For a while, it seemed miraculous that these things were actually out there!  Now, I see that the miracle was not that the Divine exists, but that my resistance to seeing it was overcome!)

I will say it again.  When I used my new senses, I was astounded at what I found.  It was kind of like, “OMG! You’re not going to believe what is going on out here!” or “OMG! No, dude! I’m like serious! There’s like all these angels out here! I mean, I know I said that there is no such thing as angels, but, like dude, they're here!”

As I went from disbelieving in the spirit world to directly perceiving it, I discovered that the spiritual realms are neither fantasy nor cleverly crafted metaphors.  These realms exist.  What goes on in them, and in the places where the spirit and human worlds meet, is as fantastic as our best science fiction, as awe-inspiring as our strongest earthquakes, as dark as our darkest villains and as filled with potential as the universe.

That these experiences - which I write down as the stories posted here - involve angels, demons, the souls of the dead, and other phenomena typically relegated to the realm of fiction or fantasy, is not something I can help.  That there is such close interaction between humans and the spirit world at this time is a cause for celebration and curiosity.  It is also a very good reason to get to know these other worlds!

If 17 years ago someone had told me that I would become a lawyer and then end my legal practice to talk to angels and other creatures I knew, without a doubt, existed only in fairy tales, well, truth be told, I might have pummeled the messenger.

Ironically, today, it is the fact that these stories are true that inspires me to write them.  As fiction, these adventure stories entertain and pique imagination.  As truth, these stories sing the song of our potential and become one possible version of our future.  The fact that these stories are true is meant to inspire.  For me, the truth of these stories is one of the best things about them!
