Welcome to this Blog

Welcome! Just like Raw Food, just like Twitter, there are many new creations sweeping the world. I am one of them. So is this blog. So - I’m wagering - are you. As the world changes, we discover ourselves more deeply and a new, more personalized spirituality emerges. The new spirituality may or may not involve a church, a mosque, a synagogue, or even a yoga studio. What it does do is ignite the creative spark within. It inspires us to move in large and small ways into new territory. This territory is more loving, authentic, expansive, and innovative. This blog is devoted to an exploration and celebration of this new spirituality, its promise and the rejuvenation it brings.

Posting Schedule/Direction of Blog

Like many out there I am experiencing BIG life changes.  After years of relative solitude in spiritual studies, I am recently married and have started graduate studies at a local seminary.  This means that it is sometimes unpredictable when I will be able to post on this blog!  However, if I am not posting - it is not for want of material!

For those of you who return to and enjoy this blog, thank you!  It means a lot to be able to share these stories.  If you are one who has been returning to be frustrated by infrequent new material, consider signing up as a follower (including following by email) so that you will receive notice of new posts!

Finally, the most in-depth aspects of my path to date have been through the lens of Buddhism, Christianity and Indigenous studies.  At seminary, I am moving into a Christian understanding of the mystical experiences that have dominated my life and also, a new understand of the spiritual underpinnings of social justice work.  While I continue to believe that all religions hold truth and are aimed at understanding and gaining intimacy with the higher being who is often called God - and also Allah, Odulumare, Christ, Buddha, Source, Life Force and Goddess, to name a few - in the future, more of my posts may contain references to Christianity.  This is not an apology but rather an acknowledgment that this is where my path leads at this time!

Aho! Amen. Peace. Namaste. Ache! ... and all that good stuff!
